Most Respected Sir,
Asalamo Alykum,
Congratulations on
becoming the Joint Chief of the Armed Forces of Pakistan !
We have not written
‘most respected’ just as a formality but we truly mean it. Your life story is
truly an inspiration for all of us, for its poignancy and perseverance. You
have ultimately made it to the top and your parents must be done proud of you
up in the Heavens J
It has been an
especially traumatic year for Pakistan this last one year. Just as we thought
that we were finally taking off in the world, we crashed. Previously, we used
to believe that our corrupt politicians are responsible for Pakistan being an
underdeveloped country to date. Our hearts sank when we witnessed the
international Cipher Conspiracy unfolding, being put to action by the local
stooges and PM Imran Khan actually losing office before our very eyes. We felt
so helpless to stop it. We have always envisioned the Army as our saviors, so
we looked towards them to save us from this foul play. Although the Martial Law
has always been detested by the democratic people, we were willing for a
Martial Law to be imposed rather than governance being handed over to the
corrupt and conspiring PDM.
We actually upheld
this demand in a protest prior to 9th April 2022. PM Imran Khan, being the
smart player he is, was bowling the PDM well, starting from 3rd April 2022,
when he blocked their No Confidence Motion, technically. We were expecting more
fun on 9th April 2022. But then on the fateful night of 9th April 2022, the
nation got the shock of its life. COAS Qamar Bajwa arrived at the parliament
along with a prisoner van. In fact, we got excited. We thought our C-in-C was
about to arrest and load the crooks of PDM into the prisoner van and hail a
great applause on the night of the final showdown. But it did not happen so. IT
DID NOT HAPPEN SO. What actually happened was that the greatest man of our
times, PM Imran Khan had to walk out of the PM Office with a single diary in
his hand, because Bajwa had brought the prisoner van for Khan !!!
Because of the
treacherous decision of a single man and some of his friends, the nation and
the army have become polarized with each other today. The army uniform no
longer gives us a feeling of security. And you know very well what has followed
those who opposed the Regime Change Operation … arrests, torture and filming of
personal videos. Does Pak Army stand for this ? In our lifetime, this dirty
game was started by Musharraf, who despite being a commando, buckled under the
American pressure and dragged Pakistan in America’s war-of-terror. He sold
Pakistani men and women along with their children and had the audacity to boast
about it in his book, In the Line of Fire.
Lo, he hath faced the
fire and died rather than living the shameful, cowardly life that he has lived
…
The recent
appointments have all been about seniority, so looking at the hierarchy of the
Armed Forces, we found you to be the most senior. The Army, Navy and Airforce
are under your command. We are sure that majority of the officers of the Armed
Forces of Pakistan want to patch up with the nation. New appointments, new zeal
… this is a great time to become friends again ! For starters, we need to undo
those misdeeds which can be undone. Top of the list is Dr. Aafia Siddiqui.
There are still some miscreants in office who are carrying on the mal-legacy of
Musharraf. In the last twenty years, Pakistan has had multiple opportunities to
have Aafia freed but they were not availed. We used to think that it is America
who is not releasing Aafia. Some people voiced suspicion upon the local
establishment. Ironically, the mystery has been cleared by the very Yvonne
Ridley who discovered Aafia’s place of imprisonment in the first place. It is
not America, it is Pakistan. Please see Yvonne Ridley’s article on the Middle
East Monitor as attachment.

We wrote to Bajwa
exactly one year ago and requested him to have Aafia released and wear the
feather of her freedom in his cap at his retirement ceremony as an outstanding
honor. He didn’t do anything. Rather, he did worse and has retired with a
lifelong disgrace. Perhaps, the honorary feather of Aafia’s freedom belongs to
you.
May Allah Almighty
bless you and this struggling nation in this world and the Hereafter … Ameen
